The Branch Delivery Manager’s role is to provide overall direction and active management of the delivery organization and all associated delivery activities throughout the branch. The Branch Delivery Manager’s responsibilities fall within three primary categories:
- Delivery Methods, Quality & Oversight
- Consultant Care & Community Building
- Business Development Support. Overall, as a key member of the branch leadership team, the Branch Delivery Manager is responsible for helping to achieve the highest levels of client and consultant satisfaction as well as overall branch financial performance.
Possessing strong personal, professional , and leadership qualities are highly important for this position. Candidates will have excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills , communication skills, and strong business acumen . Delivery Managers must be capable and motivated to drive change , have strong coaching and mentoring skills and the ability to create, develop and lead teams. He or she must be able to assess situations quickly and accurately and creatively solve problems and have demonstrated ability to interface with CXO level in a trusted advisor status.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work collaboratively with the Branch Manager and Sales Manager, to define key objectives and related incentives for the delivery organization. Actively manage and monitor.
- Ensure appropriate delivery involvement and review for all business development activity. Review and approve all final proposals and estimates. Provide personal support for strategic level business development activity in area(s) of expertise.
- Maintain, or build, reputation in local community, as an active and respected IT thought leader.
- Ensure appropriate and effective consultant care activity is occurring on a regular and consistent basis. This includes, but in not necessarily limited to, the following: Annual Reviews, End of Engagement Reviews, overall Career Management activity.
- Assist with staffing for all major projects and monitor / support consultant transitioning and assignments as required.
- Ensure general administration and operational processes involving the delivery organization are being supported and executed appropriately. Identify and drive the development, continuous improvement, and effective application of “operational” policies and procedures that will help to enable a more effective and efficient delivery organization.
Education: Bachelors Degree in computer/information sciences, mathematics, business/MIS or related field from an accredited college. Masters degree is desirable in one of the above areas.
Experience: At least ten years relevant IT related development/support and IT project management with demonstrated increasing responsibility. At least 10 years of relevant management experience preferably in both consulting and corporate environments. Exposure to sales and business development functions is also required.
